Our Mission:
Facts on PET is an effort to educate the public on the safety of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles. Our message is simple: PET contains no BPA. Our goal is to clarify any misconceptions linking single-serve PET bottles and BPA.
The Challenge:
Following the classification of bisphenol-A (BPA) as a potentially dangerous substance by the Canadian Government, and subsequent legislation introduced in the United States Senate, there has been a flurry of questions concerning the safety of plastics. Unfortunately, due to unclear reporting about BPA, consumers are confused about the safety of many plastic products – including polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles. We think it is important to correct misinformation that links BPA to PET.
